Today the Ministry of Local Government through the Sustainable and Child Friendly Municipalities Initiative (SCFM) along with the San Pedro Town Council commemorated the launching of the San Pedro Billboard, as the Town has officially achieved the silver award by working towards achieving child friendly status.
The silver award demonstrates significant progress in ensuring the rights of children and adolescents is respected, promoted, protected and fulfilled to the highest standard in their municipality.
Thanks to the Hon. Oscar Requena, Hon. Ramiro Ramirez, Mayor Gualberto Nunez of San Pedro Town Council, Ms. Paulette Wade of UNICEF, Ms. Margaret Nicholas of NCFC and Mr. Clifford King for delivering their remarks in continued commitment, support and contributions in ensuring that the voices of children are heard, as we continue to work towards providing safe and child friendly cities.
